About Me
I am a composer, performer, and educator based in upstate New York. I take influence from my eclectic musical tastes (a mix of popular, classical, and contemporary styles), focus on idiomatic writing, and approachability to my work. I've been trained on a large number of instruments ranging from double and single reed instruments to piano and harp.
I’ve worked with groups such as the Quijote Duo, Fifth House Ensemble, Crane Symphony Orchestra, Crane Saxophone Ensemble, and members from the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra. I've also participated in the Lake George Community Band Festival in Lake George, NY and the LARAC Summer Arts Festival in Glens Falls, NY.
I'm deeply passionate about the field of education, having worked with students of all ages, from elementary to college. I've received my B.M. in Music Education and Music Composition at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and my MM in Music Theory and Composition at the Peck School of Music at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I was last employed as a TA at UWM, where I’ve instructed courses in music theory and aural skills, and currently act as the artistic director of the Community String Orchestra of the Adirondacks.
